After graduating from University of Chicago Law School in 1993, Myers joined the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Chicago. Three years later, he returned to New Orleans and soon opened the doors to NOLA Criminal Law because he sensed the need for a criminal defense attorney “who was willing to work a little differently.” In fact, he was aware of clients who said their lawyer had not grasped their problems sufficiently or did not genuinely cared about them. “In criminal law especially,” Myers says, “if your lawyer doesn’t understand your problem, your lawyer can’t help you solve it.”
